The Botanist Islay Dry Gin
Origin: Islay, Scotland
Producer: The Botanist / Bruichladdich Distillery
ABV: 46%
The Botanist is an artisanal Scottish gin crafted on the island of Islay. What distinguishes it from most premium gins is its use of 22 hand-foraged local botanicals in addition to 9 traditional gin botanicals, creating a spirit that is simultaneously floral, herbaceous, citrus-driven, and classically juniper-forward. It was the first dry gin produced on Islay and is often considered one of the benchmarks of the modern botanical gin category.

Professional-Style Tasting Note
Crystal clear with an expressive nose of juniper, citrus peel, wild mint, chamomile, and fresh meadow herbs. The palate is silky and layered, delivering flavors of lemon zest, coriander, thyme, white flowers, and gentle pepper spice. The finish is long, dry, and elegant, with lingering juniper, herbal freshness, and subtle maritime character. A sophisticated, highly aromatic gin that beautifully captures the botanical landscape of Islay.
