Marco Porello Langhe Rosato (Langhe DOC Rosato) – Detailed Description
Producer: Marco Porello
Region: Langhe, Piedmont
Appellation: Langhe DOC Rosato
Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo
Alcohol: Approximately 13% ABV
Style: Dry rosé wine
Vineyard & Terroir
The grapes come from the sandy-calcareous hills of the Langhe and Roero area, where limestone-rich soils and significant day-night temperature variations help preserve freshness while developing aromatic complexity. Vines are trained using the Guyot system and yields are deliberately controlled to maintain concentration and balance.
Winemaking
The wine is produced from hand-harvested Nebbiolo grapes picked in early September. After gentle crushing, the juice remains in contact with the skins for only about six hours, extracting a delicate pink color and subtle aromatic compounds. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for approximately 20 days, followed by maturation in stainless steel until bottling to preserve freshness and purity of fruit.
